Trainings: Local HotelsWhen making reservations at Cupertino Inn or Maple Tree Inn, please mention the High Tech Center Training Unit. Please contact the High Tech Center if the rates listed below are different from what you are quoted. Due to budgetary constraints, the HTCTU will no longer be able to reimburse training participants for meals. We will continue to provide reimbursement for DSP&S staff members with travel, hotel, local car rental, and other related costs associated with attending trainings at the program's Cupertino location. Hotel accommodations will only be reimbursed for individuals participating in trainings with a duration of two or more days or for individuals participating in "back-to-back" HTCTU trainings of two or more days. For example, participants attending a two-day training would be reimbursed for one night's lodging. Participants attending a three-day training would be reimbursed for two nights' lodging, etc. The HTCTU will reimburse participants for hotel accommodations up to a maximum of $110.00 per night, including tax. Those wishing to stay at hotels charging more than $110.00 per night will be responsible for the difference. Participating hotels may require reservations made by phone to receive discounted rates. NOTE: Stays at the Cupertino Inn will be fully reimbursed at the special HTCTU rate of $145 instead of the usual $110, provided guests forego a car rental and use the complimentary limosine service between the airport, hotel, and HTCTU. Please note that this service requires advanced booking (either upon initial room reservation or check-in), as the limosine is shared by all hotel guests. For more information, see below.
